World Wide Web
A vast collection of hyperlinked, interactive documents called web pages that are accessible via the internet.
Website
A group of related web pages stored at the same web address; often owned by companies, organizations, or individuals.
Home page
The landing page of a website, serving as the main starting point for visitors.
Web page
A page that can include text, graphics, audio, video, and hyperlinks.
Hyperlink
A built-in connection to another website, web page, or resource; typically shown as underlined blue text.
Web server
A server that hosts a website and serves its web pages to users.
Webmaster
The person who maintains and develops a website.
HTML
A markup language used to structure content on the web.
JavaScript
A scripting language used to add interactivity and dynamic behavior to web pages.
PHP
A server-side scripting language used in web development.
Python
A general-purpose programming language used in various web development tasks.
Domain name
The human-readable address part of a URL that identifies a website.

A TLD typically used for organizations.
.za
Country code TLD for South Africa.
.co
TLD often associated with companies or commercial entities.

Web portal
A starting point for searching on a website that links to different subjects and site types.
Informational website
Provides information to the public; commonly used by schools and government institutions.
News website
Provides current events coverage, including sport and weather, often with multimedia.
Personal website
A site created by an individual to share interests or life experiences, often via a blog or social network.
Wiki
A collaborative website that allows anyone to create and edit content; typically free to access (e.g., Wikipedia).
Educational website
Offers tutorials, simulations, and resources for formal or informal learning.
Entertainment website
Provides online entertainment such as videos, music, sports, and gaming (e.g., Netflix, YouTube).
Advocacy website
Describes a particular opinion, idea, or cause, often representing a group or association.
Web application
An application accessed over the internet and not stored on the local device (e.g., Gmail, Google).
Content aggregator
A site or app that collects content from various sources; can display results or distribute them to subscribers (e.g., IMDb, Flipboard).
Web browser
Software that allows you to view and navigate web pages via hyperlinks or the address bar.
