What is the recent flight experience for ATPL?

- As PIC, 3 t/o and landings (a/c or sim)

- Flight test

- Competency demonstrated to flight instructor during the day

- One landing may be autoland

How long does a class 1 medical last?

12 months

- Unless 40 or older then 6 months

How long does a class 2 medical last?

5 years

- Unless 40 or older then 2 years

What is the grace provision for a medical?

30 days

IFR Eligibility

- Class 1/2 medical

- PPL with night flying privileges

- Acceptable flight time

- Ground training course with exam credit

- Flight training course (min 10 hrs dual)

- Flight test

IFR Privileges and Limitations

- PIC/Co-pilot for IFR

- Flight test in same type

- Instrument approach procedure certified

- Class 2 medical with class 1 hearing standards

IFR Currency

Flight exam in last 12 months

In last 90 days

- Flight exam or

- 3 hours instrument time (1 instrument flight time)

- 3 published instrument approaches (1 can be sim)

Current medical
