the entropies of all perfectly crystalline materials are
the same at absolute 0, T = 0K
taking this value to be 0, the entropy of any perfectly crystalline material at T=0 is zero
taking this value to be 0, the entropy of any perfectly crystalline material at T=0 is zero

define S(T)
the entropy at temperature T (‘absolute entropy’)

what law do you use at temperatures very close to 0
Debye T^3 Law
4
New cards
define Debye T^3 law
C V,m = aT^3
which gives, Sm = 1/3 C V,m at temperatures very close to 0
