Johann Gutenberg innovated it by using a metal cast where the cast is pressed firmly on the paper, generating an exact impression. Juices from fruits were used as ink. Later, hand pressing was mechanized and eventually used worldwide.

Woodblock printing

was invented to address the need for publishing books that would spread information to many people faster

Printing Press

was invented because more people are getting sick due to the massive migration of people to urban and polluted areas

 were used to powe tanneries, blast furnaces, forge mills, and paper mills which evolved into the machiner used in today's factories and facilities
