Angle Bisector Theorem
States that an angle bisector divides the opposite side into segments that are proportional to the adjacent sides.
Playfair's Axiom
A postulate stating that through any point not on a given line, there is exactly one line parallel to the given line.
AA similarity
Angle-Angle similarity; if two angles of one triangle are equal to two angles of another triangle, the triangles are similar.
Isosceles Triangle Theorem
States that if two sides of a triangle are equal, then the angles opposite those sides are equal.
Transitivity in Geometry
If two angles are equal to a third angle, then they are equal to each other.
Side Splitter Theorem
If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle and intersects the other two sides, the segments formed are proportional.
Congruent Angles
Angles that have the same measure.
Definition of Angle Bisector
A ray that divides an angle into two equal parts.
Vertical Angle Theorem
States that vertical angles are always congruent.
Definition of Similar Triangles
Triangles that have the same shape but may differ in size; their corresponding angles are equal and corresponding sides are proportional.
