To describe the loss of uniqueness of a place in the cultural landscape, to the point that one place looks like the next.
Reterritorialization
The process in which people adapt and reshape an element of global culture to fit their own local culture and place.
Commondification
The process through which something that previously was not regarded as an object to be bought or sold, becomes and object that can be bought or sold in the world market.
Standard language
Is the form of a language that is officially recognized and widely used in government, education, and media. Norm of communication within its region.
Dialect
Is a regional or social variation of a language that differs in pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary from other forms of the same language. Reflecting local identity and culture.
Isogloss
A geographical boundary that separates areas where different linguistic features are used. It shows where one dialect, word, or pronunciation ends and another begins.
Creolized language
A stable fully developed language that forms when a pidgin language ( a simplified mix of 2 or more languages for basic communication ) becomes the native language for a community.
Language divergence
A language breaks into two or more separate languages overt time. This happens when a group of speakers become isolated from one another, geographically, socially, or politically. So their speech changes independently until the languages become distinct.
Fundamentalism
A form of religion in which people strictly follow traditional beliefs, teachings, and practices, and often seek to preserve their faith exactly as it was in the past.
Secularism
The principle of keeping religion separate from government and public life. Relating to people using religious influence on politics, education. and everyday decision making is reduced relying on more non religious ideas.
Pilgrimage
A journey to a sacred place for religious or spiritual purposes. It is often undertaken o determine faith, seek spiritual growth, or fulfill religious obligations.
Conquest theory
Indo-European languages spread because of power groups that moved in, took control, and their language got replaced with the dominant language, or blended with local languages.

A common language used by people who speak different native languages , they communicate for practical purposes like trade, business, and politics.
