Accent

A style of speech or pronunciation that is characteristic of a certain region or country

Articulate

Expressed in a clear and effective manner

Dialect

The form or version of a language that is spoken in a country or region or by a particular social group: characteristics are different in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar

Diction

The choice and use of words in speaking or writing: distinctiveness

Enunciate

To pronounce in an especially clear manner

Fundamental

A major significance of something

Intelligible

Able to be understood

Peer

A person who is of equal age, rank, or class

Status

Position in society

Stress

To emphasize: usually when speaking
