Millitarism

The belief in maintaining a strong military and using it aggressively for national interests.

Alliances

An agreement between two or more countries to support each other during war.

Imperialism

Imperialism is a political strategy that extends power by extending political/economic control outward over other areas.

Nationalism

Loyalty and devotion to a nation.

Nazism

A form of Facism. Extreme Ideology represented by Adolf Hitler.

Communism

Economic Ideology i.e. no personal property, all evenly distributed.

Appeasement

Pacify sombody by aceeding their demands.

Blitzkrieg

Fast, surprising tactic to attack (lightning war).

Democracy

System where power is vested in the people.

Governments

System governing the society.

Voting

Process of selecting representatives.

Constitutional Monarchy

Monarchis’ power is controlled by constitution.

Pluralism

More than two governments co-exists.

Seperation of Powers

Division of government into two branches.

Representative Democracy

Representatives are elected by public (i.e. democracy)

Ensure the spread of power is even.

Preferential Voting

Allows voters to indicate multiple preferences; used in HoR.

Proportional Voting

Proportional voting allocates seats based on vote percentage; used in Senate.
