What is terrorism?
Terrorism is a planned act intended to cause death or serious harm to civilians, with the purpose of achieving political gain.
What are some examples of terrorist attacks?
Examples include the 9/11 attacks planned by Osama Bin Laden, the 7/7 London Bombings, and the actions of the KKK.
Who was Saddam Hussein?
Saddam Hussein was the president of Iraq and a brutal leader responsible for the deaths of approximately 250,000 Iraqi people.

Guy Fawkes was involved in a failed plot in 1605 to kill the Protestant king and have Catholics take over.
What is the Christian attitude towards terrorism?

A morally right cause, war as a last resort, probable chance of success, proportionate force, fought fairly and ended quickly, and declared by the correct authority.
What is the origin of the idea of Just War?
The idea of Just War came from St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas who developed the theory.
What are Weapons of Mass Destruction?
Weapons of Mass Destruction are weapons that cause widespread devastation and loss of life.

Chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons.
What are some consequences of using Weapons of Mass Destruction?
Famine, widespread disease, displacement, increasing rates of orphaned children, mass death, and children being born with deformities.

Holy War is war fought for religious reasons/for God and declared by a religious leader.

Islam promotes peacemaking but it is NOT a pacifist religion; violence and war are only permitted in some circumstances and as a last resort.
