Describe the naturalization process in detail.

Naturalization is the process of someone becoming a  U.S. citizen. The first step is to determine eligibility to become a U.S. citizen. It’ll either take 3 or 5 years, depending on if the person is married to a U.S. citizen. Then they would fill out an application for naturalization called an N-400. Then the person will go to a biometrics appointment to be fingerprinted and to check criminal records. Next, they will meet with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to create an appointment to take the U.S. citizenship exam. If they pass the exam they must take an oath of allegiance to the United States.
