Academic Advising
Resource for students struggling to create a schedule or unsure of their major/minor. Students can find their advisors by searching for them on the USF website. Assist with: planning your schedule, class recommendations, finding a major, overall academic advice. mine is in SCA building

Office of Academic Advocacy
Helps students experiencing academic distress (such as failing a class), especially due to teacher fault or personal issues. Student services

Academic Success Center
Located on the second floor of the Library; provides tutoring, peer coaching, writing help, and mentoring.

BullsConnect
An app that lists all USF events to help students get involved and connect with others.

Office of Multicultural Affairs
Fosters cross-cultural relationships through programs and events for diverse students.

Counseling Center
Free counseling services for students feeling sad, lonely, or depressed; located in the Breezeway.

Center for Student Well-Being (SWELL)
Advises on health, wellness, safety, body image, and life transition topics; offers resources like health/wellness packs, such as the sleep pack that has tea, sleeping tips, and good before-bed habits. Good for a student struggling with sleep

Fit and Rec
Gym facilities available for student fitness. The fit is in the village and the campus recreation center is the bigger gym where they host fitness classes and that one can be found by the student health and wellness center.
Financial Aid - Registration resource
helps students with FAFSA, scholarships, and managing costs through resources. Located in the breezeway (outdoor area by the student services building. you sometimes see people dancing over there in the evening)
Office of Registrar - Registration resource
For students who need help with registration or class scheduling. Located in breezeway, attached to financial aid
Office of National Scholars (ONS) - Professional resource
guides USF students and alumni seeking opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. This includes prestigious award and scholarship programs for research, international education, graduate study, and professional development. Professional resource
RA (Resident Assistant)
A student leader responsible for assisting residents and ensuring community safety. The supervisor to the RA is the RLC (Residence Life Coordinator; morning shift). RA’s are NOT confidential but are private which means nobody will know except for those necessary. Fills out work orders for any maintenance issues
RAOD (Resident Assistant On Duty)
The RA assigned to be on duty from 5pm to 8am the next day for resident assistance. From 5pm-8pm they must at least be on campus and from 8pm to 8am the next day they must stay in the community. You are still an RA on or off campus. The supervisor to the RAOD is the RLOC (night shift)
Duty Log
A record maintained by the RA that’s filled out at the end of every shift that notes resident interactions and any incidents during their shift.
OMBUDS - Report Issues
mostly for employed students. A place for students to report employment issues like discrimination or wrongful termination.
Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention - Report Issues
Offers free confidential services to students who have experienced crime or violence or abuse both off campus or on campus.
Timelycare
24/7 online counseling resource for students feeling sad, lonely, or depressed.
RLOC (Resident Life On Call)
Supervisor during the night shift for the RAOD, assisting with shift issues.
Emergency Protocol
Call 911 or UPD for emergencies, then report to RLOC. Talk to UPD to get a CAD number for your Duty Log and text that number to the RLOC.
Fire panel goes off = call UPD
Lockouts = ask the resident for their name and confirm then use the master key to open it
The RAOD must respond to calls within 10 minutes.
You cannot date residents in your community or other RA’s.
Three sections of campus: Village, Central, South
Center for Career & Professional Development.
Professional resource. Services such as career coaching and job/internship assistance, professional pictures, home of suit-a-bull (free professional clothing).
