Qualitative Data
Data that represent a particular quality or attribute, with no notion of magnitude or size.
Quantitative Data
Data that have a magnitude and can be expressed as numbers.
Discrete Data
Data that can only take whole number values.
Continuous Data
Data that can take any value, including fractions.
Frequency Distribution Table
A table that shows the frequency of various outcomes in a dataset.
Histogram
A graphical representation of the distribution of numerical data using bars.
Pie Diagram
A circular statistical graphic divided into slices to illustrate numerical proportions.
Box and Whisker Chart
A chart that represents variations in samples, showing the interquartile range, median, and whiskers for smallest and largest values.
Pictogram
A method of presenting data using small pictures or symbols to represent values.
Line Graph
A graph that displays information as a series of data points called 'markers' connected by straight line segments.
Tabular Presentation
Data presentation using rows and columns to organize information in a concise format.
Multiple Bar Diagram
A chart that uses multiple bars drawn side by side to compare different sets of values.
Cumulative Frequency Polygon
A graph that shows the cumulative frequency of each class in a data set.
Heat Maps
Data visualization technique that shows the magnitude of a phenomenon as color in two dimensions.
