Irony
contrast between expectation and reality; verbal, situational, Socratic, dramatic

elicits laughter through exaggerated, improbable situations using low comedy such as slap-stick, fighting, clownishness, trickery, etc.

in comedy w/ no true good or bad side, knaves exploit fools bc they were “asking for it”

deliberate mispronunciation of sth, esp a name, to make fun of it
