It is characterized by the absence of feedback from the receiver.
One-Way Communication
It involves active feedback from the receiver to the sender to ensure that the receiver has understood the message in the same sense that the sender intends to convey.
Two-Way Communication
It involves the use of symbols that generally have universal meanings for all who are taking part in the process.

It refers to that channel of communication in which message is transmitted in spoken form.

It pertains to that in which information is exchanged in the written of printed form.
Written Communication
It means transmission of meaning other than oral or written words. This transmission can be through facial expression, body posture, eye contact, etc.

It refers to internal dialogue occuring within the mind of an individual e.g. self-talk, reflection, thinking, etc.
