Gender rules:
There is no neuter gender in Hebrew.
All objects, therefore, are regarded as either masculine זָכָר, or feminine נְקֵבָה.
There are some nouns which are used for both genders. Such nouns are said to be of common gender.
Masculine Grammatical number:
The noun שֵׁם עֶצֶם has two numbers, the singular יָחִיד, and the plural רַבִּים.
The standard rule: Masculine nouns form their plural by adding Chirik (Yod) and final Mem to the singular;
Ex. as, סַל basket, סַלִּים baskets.
