Tell me about yourself.

I’m a hardworking and dependable person who enjoys physical work. While this is my first job, I’ve helped with manual labor at home, which taught me how to work efficiently in a team and follow safety rules. I’m excited about this role at Walmart because I like the fast-paced environment and want to contribute to keeping the store running smoothly.

This job involves heavy lifting and fast-paced work. Are you comfortable with that?

Yes of course, I’m physically fit and motivated to work hard. I play sports, work out, and help with manual labor at home, so I’m used to lifting heavy objects and staying active for long periods.

Tell me about a time you worked in a team.

So this is a school project and it was in business class. My team created food products to sell at the school fair. My main role was giving ideas to the food we were gonna sell but we all helped each other with different tasks as well. When we fell behind on production, I volunteered to stay late with 1 teammate to finish assembling products. Then on selling day, I helped carry heavy display tables and organized our inventory so we could track sales. We ended up being the top-selling group in our class and that’s when I learned how important teamwork and flexibility are to get things done

How would you lift a heavy box safely?

I’d bend at the knees, keep my back straight, grip the box firmly, and lift with my legs and not my back. If it’s too heavy, I’d ask for help or use equipment to help me lift the object up.
