VLAN
A Virtual Local Area Network, a segment of a network that groups together devices on separate physical LANs.

A virtual interface on a single physical interface, used for VLAN routing.
Router on a Stick
A network configuration where a single router interface acts as the gateway for multiple VLANs via subinterfaces.
Switch Virtual Interface (SVI)
A virtual interface associated with a VLAN, acting as the default gateway for devices within that VLAN.
Encapsulation Dot1Q

Default Gateway
The IP address of a router interface that serves as an access point to other networks.
Layer 3 Switch
A switch with the capability to route traffic between VLANs, functioning at the network layer of the OSI model.
No Switchport Command
A command used on a layer 3 switch to configure a specific port as a routed port instead of a switched port.
A network administrator wants to set up a switch with a voice or auxiliary Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) to distinguish the PC and VoIP traffic without having to set up a trunk port.
Which of the following commands should the administrator perform first?
