Why did Justinian create the Justinian code/law
To organize and simplify the vast and complex body of Roman law (basically organized it) making it more accessible and consistent
What was the Justinian laws about?
-against Jewish people (Compared to Christian) (state religion was orthodox Christianity)
-codifying and organizing everything else
-“to live honestly, to inquire no one, and to give envy man huis due”

Changagupta established Gupta after mauryan fell, Due to good trading across the Indian Ocean and with connections to the Silk Road there was lots of trading and economic prosperity. Power was hereditary but ascending was decision based. At its peak it was super duper wealthy despite being small. Lots of accomplishments in astronomy, math, and medicine. Decline is due to pressure of civil war, weak rulers, and foreign invasions, white hands are nomadic people who overran the Gupta Empire, India split into many kingdoms
