Nerve with both sensory fibers to the face and motor fibers to the chewing muscles.

Abducens Nerve VI

Motor nerve that controls the lateral rectus muscle of the eye.

Facial Nerve VII

Nerve responsible for facial expression, with both sensory and motor functions.

Vestibulocochlear Nerve VIII

Sensory nerve responsible for hearing and balance.

Glossopharyngeal Nerve IX

Nerve with both sensory and motor functions, associated with the throat.

Vagus Nerve X

A long nerve with both sensory and motor functions that extends beyond the head and neck.

Spinal Accessory Nerve XI

Motor nerve innervating the trapezius and sternocleidomastoid muscles.

Hypoglossal Nerve XII

Motor nerve that controls tongue movement, referred to as 'under the tongue'.
