Four keys of biblical interpretation
Never read a Bible verse in isolation.

Temple
A place where heaven and Earth meet, filled with God's presence.
Purpose of creation
God blessing Creation with his presence.
Humanity/image of God
Partnering with God in blessing, governing and filling the world with life.
Abraham
The patriarch of Israel, the one through whom God promised to bless the world.
Promised Land
The land (Canaan) God promised to the children of Abraham
Covenant / testament
A commitment to partnership for blessing.
Priest
Someone who connects people to God.
Mosaic covenant
Israel is called to be a kingdom of priests.
Exile
Removal of Israel from the promised land; removal from God's presence.
Exodus
God saving Israel from Egypt at first; God saving his people from slavery.
Anointed one
One selected by God, typically kings.
Messiah
Anointed one.
Christ
Anointed one.
Son of David
God's chosen King for Israel; promised an everlasting Kingdom / dynasty.
Son of God
The servant King to the father King; King of the Earth.
LORD/Yahweh
God's covenant name.
Babylonian exile
Removal of Israel from the promised land; fulfillment of the curses warned up in the Mosaic covenant.
New covenant
Renewal of God's covenant with Israel, fulfilling it.
Son of man
God's appointed ruler for earth; a true human.
