Aim
To investigate if the short-term memory has at least two different structures.

Procedure and Participant
Participant - K.F, brain damaged from a motorcycle accident.Long-term memory was intact but the short-term memory was damaged.
The researchers made K.F memorize words and numbers which they presented to him both orally and visually.
Results
He only had an impairment for the auditory structure of the short-term memory.
Conclusion
The study showed that there exists at least two different structures of information within the short-term memory.
