BASIC DATA TYPES
set of values that a variable can hold.
CHAR
for storing character
include alphabets, digits, space, and all special characters
INT
for storing integers
4 BYTES
size of an int
8 BYTES
size of a long int
UNSIGNED INT
can store only whole numbers
SHORT INT, LONG INT, UNSIGNED INT, INT
Types of int
FLOAT
to store floating-point numbers
useful to save numbers that have decimal places
DOUBLE
similar to float
has more precision than a floating num
TERMINATOR/TERMINAL
It is the symbol used to indicate the start and end of a flowchart.

PROCESS
It is the symbol used to show the interim steps and whenever the data is being manipulated.

DECISION
It is the symbol used in decision making or operations in which the answer should be either go toYES or NO.

INPUT/OUTPUT
It is the symbol used to enter (input) or display (output) the data.

PREDEFINED PROCESS/FUNCTION
It is the symbol used to identify an operation in a separate flowchart segment.

ON-PAGE CONNECTOR
It is the symbol used to connect the unreachable portion of the flowchart on the same page

OFF-PAGE CONNECTOR
It is the symbol used to connect the unreachable portion of the flowchart on different pages.
