Vietcong -

After Diem cancels election in South vietnam , Ho chi MAih began an armed struggle to reunite the nation and vietcong = guerilla ry in south vietnam that fight to overthrow their own government.

Teach-in -

march of 1965 a group of faculty members and students at the university of michigan started a teach in where they have an earned meeting or class held to discuss social or political issues. 

Napalm -

A type of jellied gasoline that explored n contacts. and american planes would drop it on vietcong . 

Vietnamization -

nixon began this process of making south vietnam assume more of the war effort by slowly withdrawing american troops from vietnam. by announcing on june 8th 1969 he announced he would with 25,000 soldiers but at the same time he increased air strikes against north vietnam . 

My Lai massacre - 

occurred in 1968 where an america platoon under command of Lt william Calley had massacred more than 200 unarmed south vietnamese civilians in the hamlet of my lai. a lot of the victims were old men + women and children the soldiers were told they were the vietcong but where not. The American public wasn't aware of these war crimes  until 1968 when Morley safer photos were released.
