intuitive and specific judgment, deeply understands the whole situation, can apply these skills to unfamiliar situations
10 steps of clinical decision making process
identify own triggers, identify own values, integrate data and find missing data, obtain new data, identify problem, apply criteria under which problem exists, look at alternatives, consider if context changes factors, evaluate and determine best action
