• Continues throughout life but stops with the attainment of maturity.

• Observable

• May or may not bring about development

Development

• QUALITATIVE changes in the quality.

• Continuous process

• Cannot be measured

• Possible without growth

Maturation (Nature)

The natural growth resulting from heredity; internal factors; genes.

Learning (Nurture)

In and through growing takes place; external factors; environmental influences.
