What is the difference between segregation and de-facto segregation?
Segregation was the law. While de-facto segregation was not technically a law.
Why were Native Americans pretty much always denied of citizenship?
Natives were denied citizenship because they lived on a reservation as they were being pushed further west. Since they were on reservations living a different culture, they technically were deemed not American.
Was the North a complete safe haven for minority groups?
No, racism was still prevalent in the North.
What is the Plessy V. Ferguson?
Ruled that segregation was not a violation of the 14th Amendment as long as institutions were separate but equal.
How were Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Dubois different?
Booker T. Washington a steady progress in achiving equality (gradual). While W.E.B. Dibops is a fast action toward equality and could only achieve with aggressivness.
