The night is dark and foggy but the moon is shining down on her

Is oíche dhorcha agus ceomhar ach tá an ghealach ag lonrú anuas uirthi

The moon gives her hope because the moon is a metaphor for hope

Tugann an ghealach dóchas di mar is meafar í an ghealach don dóchas

The poem opens our eyes to how we are not alone because the moon is here
