  • Purpose: Saves time by quickly generating shortlists of fixtures that match specific criteria.

  • Efficiency: A saved Custom Filter can be loaded in seconds, reducing research time.

  • Customization: Filters can be renamed for easy identification instead of using default reference numbers.

Using Custom Filters Effectively

  • Not for Tips: Custom Filters should identify potential trades, not provide automatic betting selections.

  • Shortlist Refinement:

    • Disable certain league zones (e.g., European C) to improve liquidity.

    • Use Simple Filters or Strategy Shortlist Filters to narrow down selections.

    • Adjust percentage thresholds (e.g., 70% → 80%) for more precise filtering.

    • Change OR operators to AND to require both teams to meet criteria.

  • Shortlists may need further refinement using additional filters or manual adjustments.

When used properly, Custom Filters will save you a huge amount of time and effort.

It takes just a few clicks to load a saved Custom Filter and, within a second or two, you'll be working with a shortlist of fixtures that fit your criteria.

You can even save your favourite Custom Filter links as buttons in your browser and then it only takes a single click to load them each day!

A quick note...

The fact that you're reading this lesson should mean that you're an experienced trader and already enjoying success by using the Team Stats Matrix and strategies.

If that's not the case, then I strongly recommend that you go back to the beginning of the Academy. Building and testing Custom Filters is definitely not for beginners!
