trapezoid

A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides

composite figure

a three-dimensional figure that is the combination of two or more simpler figures

volume

The amount of space an object takes up

Volume = (length) x (width) x (height)

polyhedron

A three-dimensional figure with faces that are polygons

face

A flat surface of a polyhedron

edge

The line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet.

vertex

A point where two or more straight lines meet.

cube

A prism with six square faces

net

pattern obtained when a three-dimensional figure is laid out flat, showing each face of the figure.

surface area

The sum of all the areas of all surfaces of a solid

Surface Area= 2(lengthwidth + lengthheight + width*height)

pyramid
