Ego (Freud)
Mediator between the id and the superego; main function is to keep impulses from the id and the superego within an acceptable degree.
Neurophilosophy (Paul Churchland)
Philosophical view that to understand behavior we must examine the brain's neurological movements and their relation to emotions, feelings, actions, and reactions.
Merleau-Ponty
Philosopher who argued that mind and body are not separate but one; emphasized embodied perception and linked to gestalt psychology.
Gestalt psychology
Principle that a whole is different from the sum of its parts.
