What are the primary sources of energy at the coast?
Wind, waves, tide, and earthquakes.
What are the two main types of waves?

What causes a storm surge?
A bulge in the ocean surface caused by low pressure and strong winds (rising air) blowing towards the center of a storm.
What is a longshore current?
A current that follows the direction of longshore drift, moving parallel to the beach.
How is wind defined in terms of pressure?
Wind is air moving from high pressure to low pressure.
