Data Loss
Data loss or data exfiltration refers to when data is intentionally or unintentionally lost, stolen, or leaked.
BYOD
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is the trend of employees using personal devices to access organizational networks.
COPE
Corporate-Owned, Personally Enabled (COPE) is a model where businesses provide employees with mobile devices that they can use as personal devices.
White Hat Hackers
Ethical hackers who use their skills for good purposes, such as performing security assessments.
Gray Hat Hackers
Individuals who commit unethical acts without personal gain, such as disclosing vulnerabilities publicly.
Black Hat Hackers
Unethical criminals who violate computer security for personal gain or malicious purposes.
Script Kiddies
Inexperienced hackers who use existing scripts and tools rather than developing their own.
Cyber Criminals
Black hat hackers focused on making money, often operating within an underground economy.
Hacktivists
Individuals who hack for social or political causes, often without profit motives.
State-Sponsored Hackers
Government-funded attackers who create advanced cyber threats to steal information and sabotage systems.
