Ray
A line that starts at one point and then extends in forever

Line
a line that extends both sides forever

Segment
A line that only stops and starts at two points

Acute Angle
An angle less than 90 degrees

Right Angle
An angle equal to 90 degrees
Obtuse Angle
An angle larger than 90 degrees but smaller than 180 degrees

Straight Angle
An angle equal to 180 degrees.

Reflex Angle
An angles larger than 180 degrees but smaller than 360

Full Revolution Angle
An angle equal to 360

Complementary Angle
Two adjacent angles tht add up to 90 degrees.

Supplementary Angle
Two adjacent angles that add up to 180 degrees.

Conjugate Angle
Adjacent angles that add up to 360 degrees.

Vertically Opposite Angles
2 pairs of non-adjacent angles making up 360 degrees.
Transversal Line
Lines passing thru two or more other lines

Parallel Lines
Two lines that are perfectly straight compared to eachother that will never touch

Corresponding Angle
Angles in corresponding positions.

Alternate Angles
Angles on opposite sides of transversal line and inside the parallel lines. You could thing of it as a percent symbol kinda.

Cointerior Angles
angles on the same side of the transversal line and inside the parallel lines.

Scalene Triangle
A triangle with 3 different sides and angles.
Isosceles Triangle
A triangle with 2 equal sides and angles
Equilateral Triangle
A triangle with 3 equal sides and angles
Acute triangle
A triangle with all acute angles.
Right angle triangle
A triangle with one right angle.
Obtuse Triangle
A triangle with one obtuse angle.
Convex Shape
A shape where all angles are less than one 180 and all vertices point outwards.
Concave Shape
A shape where at least one angle is more than 180 degrees and at least one vertice points inwards.
Parallelogram
A paralellogram is a quadrilateral where the opposite sides are paralell, opposite angles are equal, and consecutive angles are supplementary.
Rhombus
A rhombus is a shape where they have the same properties as a paralellogram but all side lengths are equal.
Rectangle
A rectangle is a parallelogram but all 4 angles are equal.
Square
A shape where it has the same properties as a rectangle (so its a paralellogram and rectangle) but all the sides are equal.
Trapezuim
A trapezium is a shape where there is only one pair.
Kite
A shape where there are NO paralell sides but has two pairs of equal sides and angles.
Line of Symmetry
A line of symmetry divides a shape into two equal parts for each line. It acts as a mirror line. If a shape has all paralell sides and angles then it has the same amount of lines of symmetry as the amount of sides.
Order of Rotation
The order of rotation is the amount of times a shape makes an exact copy of itself after fully rotatig 360 degrees,
Reflection (Cartesian Plane)
A reflection involves the x or y axis and the reflection being reflected on the other side of the axism
Rotation
A rotation invlovles a centre point of rotation and an angle of rotation.
