Signals from neurons reach the muscle (cell/fiber)

Neurotransmitters (AcH(acetylcholine)) is released from neuron & stimulates muscle activity

Action potential is initiated

Ca+ (calcium ions) are released from sarcoplasmic reticulum
Step 5
Ca+ attatches to troponin on the actin (& moves tropomyosin because it blocks myosin from attatching to actin)
Step 6
ATP attaches to myosin & lifts myosin heads to attach
Step 7
Myosin attaches to actin & pulls actin towards the m-line
Step 8
Repolorization occurs to allow for relaxation of the muscle
