Mucous membrane (mucosa) which is wet or moist membrane
What is respiratory system?
Provides oxygen to body, gets rid of carbon dioxide, helps regulate blood pH
What happens to cells without oxygen?
Death. Too much carbon dioxide in blood pH will become acidic which will interfere with cellular function

Air sac of lungs - alveoli, at the capillary beds around body.
