TINY SOLID PIECES IN THE AIR THAT COME FROM PLANTS.

AIR POLLUTION

UNWANTED SOLIDS AND GASES IN THE ATMOSPHERE

MATTER

Anything that has weight and takes up space.  Any solid, liquid or gas

ATOM

Smallest part of matter

MOLECULE

Matter that has two or more atoms

PROPERTY

Something special about matter that helps us identify it.

GRAVITY

The force that pulls things downward

AIR PRESSURE

The weight of air pressing on a surface

BAROMETER

Instrument that measures air pressure

MOISTURE

Water vapor, dampness

CONDUCTION

The way heat moves through solids

CONVECTION

The way heat moves through gases and liquids

RADIATION

The way heat moves in a vacuum. This is how our planet is heated.

A wind that blows across the entire planet

An instrument that shows wind direction

Air that is rising or sinking

A large body of air with about the same temperature and humidity throughout.

Having to do with the land

Having to do with the ocean

HUMIDITY

Water vapor in the air

Rain, snow, hail, sleet or drizzle
