Monocular cues
depth cues that are able to be perceived from one eye alone
Linear perspective
parallel lines appear to meet in the distance…the sharper the angle, the greater convergence so the greater perceived distance
Interpostition
interpose means to come between so if one object blocks the view of another we perceived it to be closer
relative size
if we assume that two objects are similar in size the one that creates a smaller retinal image is perceived as further away
Texture graident
if an object is closer we will be able to see finer details than ones that are further away
shadowing
larger theshadow the less perceived dist
