imagery
EX: Most of the shoe was a dark grey, the kind that can be seen on mist in a dark night. The bottom of the shoe was beaten down, but clearly were far from the end of its life. Meanwhile, sides of the shoe was decorated with the occasional red rays. When worn with its pair, it feels solid and well fitting. Additionally, the shoes are relatively quiet. They grip the ground well, providing a sense of sturdiness to the wearer. However, they do smell like they have been used for years.
homily
Literally means “sermon,” but informally, it can include any serious talk, speech, or lecture involving moral and spiritual advice.
