Lexicon
The body of vocabulary used in a particular language or by a particular person or group.
Engender
To cause or give rise to a feeling, situation, or condition.
Ineluctable
Inevitable; unable to be avoided or escaped.
Ambivalent
Having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone.
Accentuate
To make something more noticeable or prominent.
Assert
To state a fact or belief confidently and forcefully.
Substantiate
To provide evidence to support or prove the truth of something.
Corroborate
To confirm or give support to a statement, theory, or finding.
Validate
To check or prove the accuracy of something.
Questioning a Claim
The act of challenging or critiquing a particular assertion.
Rebut
To offer a counterargument against a claim believed to be false.
Refute
To prove that a claim is false or incorrect.
Proponent
A person who advocates for a theory, proposal or course of action.
Detractor
A person who criticizes or speaks negatively about someone or something.
Skeptic
A person inclined to question or doubt accepted opinions.
Mundane
Lacking interest or excitement; dull.
Ephemeral
Lasting for a very short time.
Moribund
At the point of death or in decline; stagnant.
Obscure
Not discovered or known about; uncertain.
Draconian
Excessively harsh and severe.
Cumbersome
Large or heavy and therefore difficult to carry or use; unwieldy.
Quixotic
Exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical.
