farmer occupation , low paying
‘-’s’ possessive farmer own the bride and is inn control of the bride
bride = new , young and innocent
‘f’ and ‘b’ = harsh sounds , anger is seen through the farmer throughout the poem due to sexual tension

sibilence = anger of the farmer as it is not intimate enough for him
exact = he is running out of patience anger

harsh stress on ‘f’ suggesting the anger of the farmer and the harsh reality women had to live with being compared to animals
‘fay’ = men used to go rabbit hunting to replenish their thirst for lust and masculinity
fay = small animal that can be captured and dominated
‘l’ repetition juxtaposes the harsh ‘f’ repetition to show how their marriage may have looked ok on the outside but was struggling behind the scenes
