What is a grade 1 incident?

Grade 1 –HIGH- immediate response (15 min response time) – blues and 2s
- Danger to life
- Use of violence
- Threat of violence
- Serious injury/ damage to property
- Crime in progress
- Op drachma (Paedophile hunter)
- A suspect detained at scene
- Serious RTC
- A road traffic collision blocking a major road
- Police linked alarms
- Persons reported trapped (Fire)
- Telematics (car reports if crashes in fancy cars)
What is a grade 2 incident?
What sort of incidents are these?
How quickly do you respond?
Grade 2-MEDIUM- within the hour – Normal road speed
- Specific concern for someone’s safety
- Offender detained and risk of escape or violence
- A witness or evidence is likely to be lost
- Sudden or unexpected death
- Injuries or serious obstruction at RTC
- An incident where delay may result in distress/ possible injury or damage

Emergency call – getting beaten up

On duty

Available- on patrol

Available- on standby (don’t really use)

Unavailable- not deployable i.e. sat outside the cell looking at the prisoner if they are suicidal
