Cybersecurity
The practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks.
CIA Triad
A model that defines the three core principles of cybersecurity: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
Confidentiality
The assurance that sensitive information is accessed only by authorized individuals.
Integrity
The assurance that data is accurate and trustworthy, free from unauthorized modifications.
Availability
The ability for users to access systems and information when needed.
Phishing
Fraudulent attempts to trick users into revealing sensitive information or downloading malware.
Malware
Software designed to gain unauthorized access or cause damage to a computer.
Ransomware
A type of malware that extorts money by blocking access to files or a computer system.
DDoS Attack
A cyber attack that attempts to crash a server or network by overwhelming it with traffic.
Insider Attack
An attack carried out by someone within the organization who has authorized access to sensitive information.
Access Control
Mechanisms that restrict access to sensitive information based on user authentication and authorization.
Encryption
A method used to protect sensitive data by converting it into a code to prevent unauthorized access.
Botnet
A network of hijacked computers controlled by a cybercriminal, often used to perform DDoS attacks.
