primary source

a first hand source or something from the time of events (eg. photos, letters, videos, diary entries)

secondary source

a second hand source which interprets primary sources (eg. textbooks, books, documentaries)

stolen generation

refers to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families in Australia between 1910 and 1970 as part of government policies

kevin rudd apology

in 2008 was the apology by then priminister Kevin Rudd to the aboriginal and torres straight islander people of the stolen generation.
