Use
Supraventricular tachycardia
Ventricular tachycardia
Atrial flutter
Atrial fibrillation
Complications:
Diarrhea
Cinchonism
Cardiotoxicity
Therapeutic range - 2 to 5 mcg/mL
Hypotension
Contraindications:
Complete heart block
Atypical V tach
Lupus
Use caution in clients with partial AV block, MG, liver or kidney disorders, HF, digoxin toxicity
Drug/drug Interactions:
Beta blockers, cimetidine can increase effects
Nursing Education:
Take med as prescribed
Do not crush or chew ER tabs
