what is fading?

gradual change over successive trials of antecedent stimulus that controls response so that the response eventually occurs to partially changed or completely new antecedent stimulus

what is errorless discrimination training?

use of fading procedure to establish stimulus discrimination so that no errors occur

what is dimension of stimulus?

any characteristic of stimulus that can be measured on some continuum

what is a prompt?

supplemental antecedent stimulus provided to increase likelihood that desired behaviour will occur, but is not the final target stimulus to control behaviour

what is shaping?

involves gradual change of response while stimulus stays the same
