Health
A state of complete physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, environmental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (as defined by WHO).
Life expectancy
The average number of years a person can be expected to live.
Quality of life
The degree of overall satisfaction with life, influenced by health, relationships, environment, and other life domains.
Developed country
A high-income country with advanced healthcare, higher living standards, and typically life expectancy around 80–85+ years.
Developing country
A lower-income country with lower life expectancy and more limited access to healthcare, nutrition, and clean water.
Third World
An outdated term for developing/low-income countries; now replaced by 'developing' or 'low-income'.
Reasons for increased life expectancy (historical US, 1900–2000)
Better healthcare, improved nutrition, sanitation, and working conditions contributed to longer life expectancy.
Black lung disease (coal workers' pneumoconiosis)
Lung disease caused by inhaling coal dust, common among coal miners.
Vaccinations
Immunizations that prevent infectious diseases and improve population health.
Life expectancy gap between developed and developing countries
Developed countries typically have higher life expectancy (around 80–85+ years) than developing countries (roughly 60–75 years), due to differences in healthcare, nutrition, sanitation, and living conditions.

Domain describing governance, rule of law, civil liberties, and social equality.
