Planer
Automatically surfaces the stock to thickness.
Drill Press
Originally designed for accurate and quick drilling of holes. With some attachments now available, it can be used for boring, routing, shaping and counter sinking.

Used to smooth surfaces of wood by abrasion with sand paper.
Electric Drill
Designed primarily for drilling and boring. But with attachments, this could also be used as sanders, buffers, polishers and drivers.
Electric Hand Saw
Portable circular saw especially useful for cross cutting, ripping and mitering.
Router Shaper
Portable shaper that is moved over the work instead of the work being moved through the cutter as in the regular shaper.

Chalk line
used to draw long straight lines without having to use a pencil or pen
Ball pin hammer
Hammer that is usually used for metal work / sheet metal work
Claw hammer
For general wood working / nail driving
Spiral Ratchet screw driver
A screw driver that turns by pushing it that turns its shaft
Back saw
Has a rigid blade. More effective in cutting long straight lines
Hack saw
Used to cut metal. Has a replaceable blade with fine teeth.
Wood chisel
Used to gouge wood
Nail set/punsol
Used to 'push in' the nail head into the lumber surface
