The structure of DNA

• Its made of two strands that are wrapped around each other and in a twisted shape called 'Double Helix'

• DNA is actually a polymer because its made of lots monomers (like bricks stacked on top of each other) In DNA each of these bricks are called nucleotide

• Nucleotide is made of three different parts. Phosphate: which is connected to a sugar and then in the side the base

• Every nucleotide has exactly the same phosphate and sugar, but the bases are different with four different types
