When substances go through an interaction and stay the same

When substance(s) go through a interaction and come out with one or multiple different substances.

What are clues that a chemical change occured?

1. Colour changes

2. Energy is absorbed/created

3. Precipitate forms

4. Bubbles start to form

5. The result is hard to reverse

Physical property (give eg… quan and qual)

Is a characteristic of a substance. (Eg, quantitative: density, boiling/freezing point,

qualitative: colour, optical clarity, etc)

Clues that a physical change occured:

1. The state of matter changes

2. It’s dissolving

3. It’s shape changes
