Resistors in Series
The total resistance when resistors are connected in series is the sum of individual resistances.
Resistors in Parallel
The reciprocal of the total resistance when resistors are connected in parallel is the sum of the reciprocals of the individual resistances.
Junction
A point in a circuit where multiple current paths meet or split.
Loop
A closed path or loop in a circuit.
Voltmeter
A device used for measuring the voltage across a component in a circuit.
Ammeter
A device used for measuring the current flowing through a point in a circuit.
Ohm's Law
The relationship between voltage (V), current (I), and resistance (R) in an electrical circuit.
Voltage Distribution in Series Resistors
The potential difference (voltage) is distributed equally across identical resistors connected in series.
Parallel Connection
Resistors connected such that the total resistance is less than any of the individual resistances.
